CHICAGO -- Abercrombie & Kent will take delivery of a river cruise ship that will sail the Peruvian Amazon beginning in spring 2025.
It will be the first river cruise that A&K will operate in South America.
The news was announced at the luxury tour operator's A&K 100 Club conference for top-selling travel advisors.
The 22-passenger ship will have a total of 12 cabins -- 10 double-occupancy cabins and two solo cabins. Solo travelers will not pay a single supplement.
Families will accommodated through the availability of connecting cabins. Whole-ship charters will be available.
A&K will offer three-, four- and seven-night cruises, with some combining river and land journeys, including visits to Machu Picchu.
Cabins will have floor-to-ceiling windows and will feature a modern design, making use of natural earth tones and wood paneling on the ship's exterior.
