The Gyp Sea Hotel in St. Barts has opened in what had been the Villa Marie hotel and has added four luxury beach houses and a beach club.

The Sunset Corail, Bohemian Blue, Wild Banana and Coco Mango beach houses each have a private pool and direct beach access as well as lush gardens and oceanview terraces. The homes, which the resort characterizes as bohemian chic, use rattan palm tree light fixtures, shell-encrusted details and bright colors throughout. Homes incorporate upholstered furnishings adorned with fabrics sourced from French brands like Pierre Frey, Manuel Canovas and Elitis. All the beach houses feature artworks from the likes of French contemporary artist Pierre Malbec, Australian abstract artist Anna Price and bespoke creations by Gezo and Jose of Lisbon-based studio and art gallery Oficina Marques.

The hotel has also opened its seaside Beach Club, where guests have access to sunbeds, cocktails and dining. The Beach Club will host special events, themed nights and live entertainment.

The Gyp Sea Hotel, in the Colombier district overlooking Flamands Beach, offers 22 suites, bungalows and villas. Beach houses include daily housekeeping, butler services and in-villa daily breakfast. Beach house rates start at $1,641 per night for a one-bedroom Sunset Corail. Gyp Sea one-bedroom bungalows start at $711 per night and include daily breakfast.
