Sion, a commission tracking and recovery platform, has unveiled a number of new features, including a major upgrade to its supplier customer relationship management (CRM) system.
Now, more than 200,000 supplier profiles -- including details like brand, chain, preferred programs and consortia affiliation -- are prepopulated in every Sion account. The profiles also include contact and billing information.
The data, Sion said, comes from multiple sources, including Travel Weekly parent company Northstar Travel Group.
"This upgrade is just the tip of the iceberg," chief technology officer Mark Nauroth said. "Normalized suppliers are the foundation for all the innovation that is to come at Sion as we continue on our mission of helping agencies get paid more, faster."
Sion said the update will help advisors create more accurate reports by segmentation like brand, chain and preferred programs. It also will save time looking for contact information and keeping it up to date in Sion's system.
In addition to the supplier profiles, Sion has added new reporting capabilities, enhanced location searching, quick-view features for easy access to information and customizable default commission rates by supplier.
Sion has more than 6,000 active users and manages $10 billion in revenue. It claims to have helped travel agencies collect $70 million in late commissions.
