Eight months into its rebranding, HX (formerly known as Hurtigruten Expeditions) has launched a new travel advisor portal and online education.

The refreshed portal -- with access to updated marketing materials, brochures and webinars -- is another step in the line's rebranding efforts that went into effect in December. The shorter HX name was adopted to simplify the name and differentiate from Hurtigruten's Coastal Express cruises that sail in Norway.

The portal offers a one-hour training program covering destinations; sustainability, science and education; and life onboard. The training is designed to be concise and engaging with shorter content and interactive quizzes to deepen advisors' understanding of HX's product.

Advisors who complete the training by the end of August will be entered in a drawing to win a $150 gift card. They will receive an online travel training certificate and accreditation logo upon completion.

HX began offering a monthly webinar series this year covering destinations such as Antarctica, Iceland & Greenland and Arctic Canada & Svalbard, and detailing the expedition product. That series will be available at the portal. The line also introduced a B2B help desk in May, available by phone at (866) 312-6791.

HX will upload new marketing materials in September, including selling guides and destination packs, HX said.

HX said it is paying 25% commission on Galapagos cruises for bookings through Dec. 31, 2024, for sailings through Dec. 31, 2025.
